United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM)

USSOCOM, short for United States Special Operations Command, is a unified combatant command of the U.S Defense Department responsible for overseeing and coordinating the Special Operations Component Commands of the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. Established in 1987, USSOCOM is dedicated to providing fully equipped Special Operations Forces for global operations and prioritizes the welfare of its people. Its headquarters are located in MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.
