Air Force Civilian Service

The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) exists to support the U.S. Air Force by providing crucial support and services. The AFSC offered the opportunity to play an indispensable role in the defense of the nation while serving locally and enjoying the benefits of military service. With a workforce of 170,000 employees involved in 600 different occupations, and based within 80 air force bases and installations around the world, including U.S. states as well as locations like Germany, Italy, and South Korea, the AFCS contributes significantly to maintaining the Air Force's status as the mightiest in the world.
